RAFT WARS — Review + Tips & Tricks:

Raft Wars is peak “aim, arc, and cackle” energy. You play as Simon (and his baby bro), two beach gremlins who dig up treasure and suddenly have to defend it from pirates, Vikings, and a parade of goons who apparently shop at the same raft store. The vibe is part slingshot artillery, part tactical chaos: set your angle, hold to set power, then pray the splash physics send enemies into the drink. Few things are sweeter than a clean knockback KO.

Under the jokes, there’s real depth. Early on you’re tossing tennis balls, but wins earn gold for better gear — grenades, rockets, and tougher raft upgrades — turning tough layouts into solvable puzzles. Some levels reward bounce shots off terrain; others demand pixel-perfect arcs over cover. Miss and the enemies chirp you. Land a nose-shot and they cartwheel into the sea. Fair trade.

The combat is turn-based, which means every shot matters. I like opening with a cheap tennis ball to “range-find,” then switching to explosives once I’ve got the line. If you can chain a hit that topples multiple enemies or pops someone off a high perch, the bonus cash stacks fast. And yes, certain targets are chunkier — shaving armor first can be smarter than going for the hero play.

Quick tips from a shameless try-hard:
Sight with tennis balls. Use the cheap ammo to lock your arc before committing grenades/rockets.
Play the elements. Lob high to clear cover; skim low for ricochets that finish swimmers on the edge.
Upgrade raft early. Extra stability and bodies keep your turn economy alive in longer fights.

Part of the charm is the personality — goofy one-liners, expressive ragdolls, and set pieces that escalate just when you think you’ve seen it all. Whether you’re speed-running for perfect clears or goofing off with trick shots, it’s dangerously “one more level.”

If Raft Wars has you lining up moonshot lobs, you’ll find plenty more aim-and-arc chaos over at 6x Class Games — perfect for quick battles between classes.
