VEX 5 — Review + Tips & Tricks:
Vex 5 drops you into a parkour gauntlet where every input matters. Spikes, saws, disappearing platforms, swinging axes—this course is designed to bully sloppy timing. There’s no hand-holding here: miss a ledge by a pixel and you’re snapping back to the checkpoint faster than you can say “retry.” It’s tense, fast, and super learnable—the kind of challenge that flips frustration into flow once the patterns click.
Movement is the meta. You’ll sprint, short-hop, wall-slide, and edge-grab like a speedrunner in training. The trick is treating each room like a rhythm track: watch the hazards, commit to a beat, then send it. Short hops cancel momentum for tight landings; wall-slides buy you time to read the next cycle; and crouch-slides under low ceilings keep your speed alive. You’ll die a bunch (that’s normal), but every fall teaches a cleaner line.
The 10 main levels ramp hard, layering collapsing floors over moving blades and troll-y fakeouts that punish autopilot. Checkpoints are generous enough to encourage risk, but not so generous that you can brute-force a bad route. If a section keeps farming you, zoom out mentally: where’s the safe square? what’s the cycle timing? can you chain a slide into a wall-jump to skip a platform? Solve it like a puzzle, then execute like an action game.
Challenge Room is where the sweat starts. Thirty timed stages demand clean lines and zero hesitation—miss a jump and the clock laughs at you. Chasing gold times turns routes into science: pre-buffer jumps, cut corners, and use downward slopes to preserve momentum. Achievements add extra spice, rewarding perfect runs and gutsy strats so you’ve always got a new plate to spin.
Craving more precision mayhem? Warm up with the tight fundamentals of Vex 4, then flex your upgraded movement skill in Vex 6. If you’re still hungry, take on new twists and tougher set-pieces in Vex 7. Each one keeps that “one more run” loop intact while remixing hazards and routes.
Final checkpoint: Whether you’re hunting PBs in the Challenge Room or just trying to survive another saw tunnel, Vex 5 nails that flow-state grind. Queue it up, learn the rhythms, and let the retries turn into speed. When you’re ready to play, jump in at Games 6x and start carving cleaner lines.
